Prospectus D3 Telecommunication Engineering


The Telecommunication Engineering Study Program is a Diploma 3 vocational education program, which aims to prepare professional and competent human resources in the field of telecommunications.
Graduates are capable of measuring and testing transmitters, receivers, routers, transmission lines (copper & optical cable), and system performance (BER & SNR) in telecommunication systems;
manufacturing various kinds of antennas, microstrips, embedded systems, and assembling telecommunication circuits such as PABX, Handy Talky, transmitters and receivers; perform maintenance and repair of telecommunications equipment such as BTS, TV, and radio;
developing web-based software applications and microcontroller-based applications in telecommunications systems.

Main Competencies :
1. Competence in the field of Wireless Communication Network
Mastering how to measure signal levels in BTS as well as analyzing the measurements that have been made, designing planning and optimization of wireless and cellular networks, and understanding transmission systems using optical fiber.
2. Competence in the field of Data Communication Network
Able to design, implement and analyze telephone network systems, modems, VOIP (Voice Over IP) and the integration of several telecommunications technology devices.

1. Competence in the field of Antenna and Propagation
Able to design, analyze and implement Antenna systems, propagation, and design of LOS radio links.
2. Competence in Digital Signal Processing
Understand and understand the techniques in digital signal processing, filters, and frequency spectrum analysis.
